The 239th Independence Day of the United States was celebrated during a reception co-hosted by ESBAS (for the tenth time) and attended by U.S. Ambassador to Türkiye, Mr. John Bass.
ESBAS Board Chairman Mary Tuncer spoke at the reception and thanked Ambassador Bass for his visit. Mrs. Tuncer remarked this was the second visit of the Aabassador to ESBAŞ since he started his official duties and she deeply appreciated his interest in ESBAŞ.
Ambassador Bass welcomed guests and said "I am very happy to be in this beautiful city of İzmir for my first U.S. Independence Day reception. On the 4th of July we celebrate our freedom and independence and repeat our dedication to freedom. I would like to thank ESBAŞ for hosting this reception."
There were numerous government officials, representatives of political parties, members of the business community, representatives of the armed forces and mayors at the reception, which featured live music.
