CONTRIBUTION TO SPACE CAMP TÜRKİYE

The Global Offset Countertrade Association (GOCA), headquartered in Washington DC, USA, recently announced a contribution of $54,000 to Space Camp Türkiye.  This contribution is in memory of Kaya Tuncer and in appreciation for the assistance ESBAS gave in organizing the Global Industrialization Cooperation Conference (GICC) at the Swiss Hotel in Izmir in May of 2012.

With additional support from the Izmir Development Agency (IZKA), this was the most successful worldwide GICC Conference ever held with a record 412 attendees from 40 different countries.  Conference attendees, along with their spouses, visited downtown Izmir, toured Space Camp Türkiye, and concluded the conference with a gala dinner at Ephesus.  All agreed that Izmir was a great conference destination.

In announcing this contribution to Global Friendship Through Space Education, Cary Viktor, President of GOCA, thanked Ayhan Izmirli, Director of ESBAS Special Projects, and again praised ESBAS for the most successful conference they have ever organized.

Founded by the late Kaya Tuncer and his wife, Mary Tuncer, Global Friendship Through Space Education has given scholarships to attend Space Camp Türkiye to 5,300 children from more than 20 countries.
