ESBAŞ AIMS FOR ZERO CARBON EMISSION, RECEIVES GREEN ELECTRICITY CERTIFICATION

Recognized for its environmental investments, ESBAŞ takes the first step for eliminating the carbon footprint due to electricity consumption by turning towards renewable energy. Having initially signed a contract with Borusan EnBW for obtaining 33% of its annual electricity consumption from renewable resources, ESBAŞ received the I-REC Green Electricity Certification as proof that the consumed electricity comes from renewable resources. With this agreement, ESBAŞ has fully eliminated its carbon footprint due to electricity consumption. The company aims to procure all of its projected electricity consumption for 2021, which is 3.2 million kWh per year, from the renewable plants.
