The new Food Production Factory of ESBAŞ produces hot meals for approximately 20,500 employees per day. There are currently 20,500 people working at the Aegean Free Zone, which is home to the world's leading companies. The meals of these employees are also prepared within the premises of the Zone.
A facility with an open area of 15 thousand square meters and a closed area of 11 thousand square meters was built in the expansion area of the Zone to meet the need for a new production facility. ESBAS Chief Executive Officer Dr. Faruk Guler stated that despite the negative effects of the pandemic, they are very happy to have completed one of the most modern and large food factories in Turkey.
Dr. Faruk Güler said, "We implemented the project in accordance with ISO Quality Systems with state-of-the-art equipment, prioritizing occupational health and safety, food safety, optimum use of areas, maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction. We completed the ESBAS Food Production Factory using lean manufacturing philosophy and techniques in 350 days and opened it towards the end of 2020, when we celebrated the 30th anniversary of our company."
