A delegation from Belarus, comprised of the General Manager of Belarus Grodno Free Economic Zone, Mr. Sergey Tkachenko; Head of Department of Investments and International Relations, Mr. Ruslan Kizelevich; and, Chairman of Belarus Turkish Businessmen’s Association, Mr. Veysel Övüt visited ESBAŞ on November 14th.
There are six free zones operating in Belarus. The Grodno Free Economic Zone which opened in 2002 has 92 investors with a total employment of 22,000.
Mr. Tkachenko stated that automotive sub-industry, metal, electric-electronics, woodworking and food are the primary industries at Grodno Free Economic Zone and he also added that the Aegean Free Zone is Türkiye’s most successful free zone and that they want to develop bilateral relations between the two zones. After receiving extensive information about ESBAŞ and the Aegean Free Zone, the delegation expressed their desire to sign a “Declaration of Goodwill” to lay the foundations for further development of mutual economic and business relations.
