The expropriation works of Western Anatolia Free Zone, which will be established in Bergama-Izmir, and was recently announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, have been finalized. Carried out by the Aegean Free Zone Development and Operating Co. (ESBAS), Western Anatolia Free Zone (BASBAŞ) will be established on a 2.5 million square meter area in Aşağıkırıklar region of Bergama. Preliminary protocol and expropriation works of the project have been completed and the relevant infrastructure works will be initiated following the approval of the President. Project works are planned to be finished by the beginning of 2022 to allow for investments in the Zone.
