Attending an online press meeting held in organization of the Izmir Branch of Economy Reporters Association, ESBAS Chief Executive Officer Faruk Guler stated that investment plans of the Western Anatolia Free Zone is not affected by the Coronavirus. Guler said, “We said Western Anatolia Free Zone Development and Operating Co. (BASBAŞ) would be in operation 2 years later. I still hope we will be able to take the first steps into bringing the investors in early 2022. We are still on schedule. BASBAŞ is a long-term project.” Explaining that working conditions have become more difficult due to the measures against the coronavirus pandemic, Guler said ESBAŞ is carrying out the process meticulously and smoothly in all of its service areas in the Aegean Free Zone.
