HONORING CEREMONY FOR ESBAS IN BEIJING

Government of People’s Republic of China selected ESBAS as “One of the 10 Top Industrial Parks in the World” and Izmir as “One of the best 30 Cities in the World” to be Invested by Chinese Enterprises, in a common study with the United Nations. The awards were received by ESBAS Chairman of the Board Kaya Tuncer and Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Aziz Kocaoglu in the ceremony held on 16–18 November. The awards were presented by the President of China.

Izmir Chamber of Commerce Chairman Ekrem Demirtas and Aegean Region Chamber of Industry as well as country leaders, Chinese ministers, ambassadors, chairmen of commerce chambers of China, together with local and national media members attended this event, which was a very important opportunity for presenting the advantages offered to investors by Izmir and ESBAS.

Development of cooperation between the two countries and attracting the investments to the Aegean Free Zone, thus the Aegean Region is intended with these events. Relevant activities on the issue are going to be continued.
