The primary mission of ESBAS Industrial Park is to maintain its position as the World's #1 Export Processing Zone, while continuing to attract domestic and international capitalized hi-tech companies that manufacture and sell their products, mainly in foreign markets. It goes without saying, that ESBAS will also provide the most business-conducive environment for our resident companies … offering the highest quality services together with stable and competitive pricing. As of January 1, 2012 There are 240 Companies in the Zone, 164 Domestic and 76 International. Total Trade Volume for 2011 is projected at $5 billion USD. Total Investment in the Zone (Construction, etc.) will have reached almost $801 billion, 78% by International Companies. 2011 Zone Employment has reached 19,500, 75% by international firms.

Based on internal ESBAS’ projections, the Zone will house 300 Companies (60% International; 40% domestic); employ 30,000 workers; and generate $7,5 billion USD in annual manufacturing and trade volume …by the year 2015. 

Total $ investment in the Zone will have reached $1 billion USD, almost 80% of which will have come from foreign investors.
