Two Decades Of Noteworthy Accomplishment

The ESBAS Industrial Park opened in 1990 and was the first production-based modern Free Zone in Turkey ...and also the first Turkish Free Zone to be established and managed by a private sector company – EAC international. Today, ESBAS has attracted more Foreign Direct Investment than any of the other 19 Free Zones in Turkey and The Aegean Free Zone accounts for more than 40% of Turkey's total Free Zone employment.

ESBAS is located in Izmir (Turkey's 3rd largest city and 2nd most important seaport) on 550 acres (220 hectares) The Zone is currently home to 240 Companies (76 are international). ESBAS Companies generated an annual trade volume of $5 billion USD in 2011.


 

The Zone's resident companies include Hugo Boss, Delphi Packard, Eldor Electronics, PFW, Gates, Stork, Fokker Elmo, Pratt & Whitney, Volvo, etc. Total ESBAS employment has increased from 400 in 1991 to more than 19,500 in 2011. In its 21 year history, the total investment made in the Zone, both foreign and domestic, has now reached $801 million USD.
